Itineraries
Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu National Park
- Depart Nairobi early morning to Samburu National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive) across the Equator.
- Arrive at the camp/lodge and enjoy a mouth-watering lunch.
- Embark on an afternoon game drive, spotting rare species like Grevy’s zebras, gerenuk, oryx, Somali ostriches and reticulated giraffes. Spot some of the Big Five; buffaloes, lions, leopards and the elephants adding a fantastic assortment of bird-life like pelicans.
- Return to the lodge/camp for a delightful dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Full Day in Samburu National Park
- Start the day with an early morning breakfast and proceed for a game drive, witnessing the sunrise over the vast Samburu plains.
- Encounter elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
- Enjoy a bush picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
- Continue exploring the reserve during the afternoon game drive, capturing incredible wildlife moments.
- Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and unwind while immersing yourself in the tranquility of the African wilderness.
Day 3
Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
- Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru (approximately 5-hours’drive).
- A brief stopover at Thomson’s Falls, a scenic 74-meter waterfall on Ewaso Ng’iro River.
- Arrive and check-in at your lodge/budget hotel and enjoy a delicious lunch.
- Embark on an afternoon game drive, discovering the park’s diverse wildlife, including white & rhinos, buffaloes, and the rare Rothschild giraffes.
- Witness the mesmerizing sight of thousands of pink flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, ostriches, kingfishers, storks, herons, and eagles along the lake’s shores.
- Return for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/budget hotel.
Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
- Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and head to the world-famous Masai Mara (approximately 5-6 hours).
- Arrive and check-in at your camp/lodge in the heart of the reserve and enjoy a delicious lunch.
- Venture out for an afternoon game drive, encountering lions, cheetahs, and other iconic wildlife like the majestic elephants, the powerful buffaloes, the graceful zebras, and hippos. The animal kingdom in Masai Mara is awe-inspiring. Maasai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, gray jackals, and spotted hyenas add to the vibrant tapestry of life
- Be surprised by the stunning landscapes and witness the incredible diversity of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
- Indulge in a delightful dinner at the camp while sharing stories of your wildlife encounters.
Day 5
Full Day in Masai Mara
- Arise for an early breakfast and proceed for a full-day game drive with a bush picnic lunch in the Masai Mara.
- Intrigue in the reserve’s wonders (such as the wildebeest migration “The 8thWonder of the World” witnessed every year. Spot the Big Five in the safety of our open-roofed vehicles.
- Enjoy a packed picnic lunch as you view the hippos and crocodiles at the Hippo Pool.
- As the sun sets, you will be able to capture the spectacular sunset of the Mara before returning to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner under the stars and an overnight stay.
Day 6
Masai Mara to Nairobi
- After a tasty breakfast and check out from your lodge/camp.
- An option of visiting a Maasai Village for a cultural tour (at the guest’s expense) to see how the Maasai live in harmony with wildlife and learn more about their culture firsthand.
- Stop over for lunch at a tastefully selected restaurant along the way to Nairobi.
- Drop off at your hotel/the airport.
- Meet, Greet, and Assist services.
- Park fees at Samburu and Maasai Mara National Reserves, and Lake Nakuru National Park.
- Full board accommodation while on Safari.
- Game drives in the game reserves and the park.
- A professional driver/guide.
- Transport in a comfortable safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for game viewing.
- Drinking water while on safari.
- Tips to service providers (Highly Recommended)
- Maasai cultural village visit and other optional activities.
