Murchison Falls National Park is located in northwestern Uganda, along the course of the Victoria Nile River. The park covers an area of approximately 3,840 square kilometers, making it Uganda’s largest national park. The park is characterized by a diverse range of habitats, including savanna grasslands, dense forests, wetlands, and the dramatic Murchison Falls.The iconic Murchison Falls is where the Victoria Nile River forces its way through a narrow 7-meter gap in the rift valley escarpment, creating a magnificent waterfall with a 43-meter drop.Murchison Falls is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including over 76 mammal species and 451 bird species. Key species include elephants, giraffes, hippos, Nile crocodiles, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and chimpanzees. The park is particularly famous for its healthy population of Nile crocodiles and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 1
KAMPALA TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
- Begin your day with an early morning journey towards Murchison Falls National Park.
- Enjoy a stopover lunch and explore the Zirwa Rhino Sanctuary, where Uganda’s only white rhinos reside.
- Trained rangers will lead you on an exciting rhino-tracking adventure, ensuring your safety as you get up close to observe these magnificent creatures.
Day 2
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
- Early morning game drive: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before an early morning game drive at Murchison Falls National Park.
- This is the best time to spot big game such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of antelope species as they are most active in the cool morning hours.
- Boat cruise to the base of the falls: After your game drive, head to the Nile River for a boat cruise to the base of the Murchison Falls.
- As you cruise along the river, keep an eye out for hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of birds.
- The boat will take you right to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls, where you can marvel at the sheer force of the Nile as it squeezes through the narrow 7-meter gap.
- Embark on a guided hike up to the top of the Murchison Falls. This moderately strenuous hike offers incredible views of the falls and the surrounding landscape.
- At the top, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the dramatic waterfall.
- Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at one of the scenic viewpoints near the top of the falls. Take in the views while you refuel for the rest of your safari activities.
- After lunch, visit the Uhuru Memorial, which commemorates Ugandan independence.
- Later explore the park’s visitor center to learn more about the park’s history, ecology, and conservation efforts.
Day 3
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK TO KAMPALA.
- Start the day with a guided nature walk in the park, exploring the lush forest and spotting various bird species and plants.
- Return to your camp/lodge for lunch and then depart for Kampala, stopping at various points along the way to rest and enjoy the views.
- Evening: Arrive back in Kampala and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
- Meet, Greet, and Assist services.
- Park fees at Murchison Falls National Park.
- Full board accommodation while on Safari.
- Game drives in the game reserve.
- A professional driver/guide.
